摘要
位于日本筑波 KEK 的 SuperKEKB 能量不对称 对撞机上的 Belle II 实验,是对 KEK B 工厂设施的实质性升级。其目标是记录比其前身多 50 倍的数据量。该实验于 2018 年完成调试运行,并于 2019 年初开始全面运行。Belle II uniquely capable of studying the so-called XYZ particles: heavy exotic hadrons consisting of more than three quarks. First discovered by Belle, these now number in the dozens, and represent the emergence of a new category within quantum chromodynamics. This talk will present the prospects of Belle II to explore exotic quarkonium physics.
