欧几里亚:快速数据发布 (Q1) —— 跨不同距离与环境的矮星系普查

欧几里亚Q1场的选择目的是用于宇宙学校准,因此相对缺乏附近星系。这正是这批场成为寻找局部密集环境中矮星系的有趣场之处。我们利用欧几里亚快速发布(Q1)的前所未有的深度、空间分辨率和视场大小,对这些区域的矮星系进行普查。我们在覆盖14.25平方度的欧几里亚深场北(EDF-N)中25个连续瓦片中识别了矮星系。矮星系候选对象通过基于欧几里亚管线测量的属性(列于MER目录中)进行半自动检测。对面积亮度和星系亮度施加挑选限制,得到初始的矮星系候选目录,随后对形态和颜色进行限制。该目录经视觉分类后得到最终的矮星系候选样本,包括其形态、核数、全球星系(GC)丰富度以及蓝色紫外中心的存在。我们识别出2674个矮星系候选对象,对应每平方度188个矮星系。矮星系的视觉分类揭示了略不均匀的形态混合:58%为椭圆形,42%为不规则形,几乎没有可能GC丰富(1.0%)和核化(4.0%)的候选对象,但约6.9%的矮星系具有蓝色紫外中心。388个(15%)具有光谱红移的矮星系的距离分布在约400 Mpc处峰值。其星系质量分布确认我们的选拔有效识别了矮星系,同时最大限度地减少了杂质。最显著的矮星系稠密度主要由dE星系主导,而dI星系分布更均匀。本工作凸显了欧几里亚在多样化质量、距离和环境下检测和表征矮星系的非凡能力。
