广义汤姆孙问题稳定构型数目的估算

摘要
给定自然数 N，人们或许会问：两球面上 N 个点的何种构型使离散广义库仑能量最小化。若对此问题应用基于梯度的数值优化，会遇到许多稳定但非全局最小的构型。这导致本稿作者提出疑问：究竟存在多少稳定构型？本稿中我们报告了识别与计数所观测稳定构型的方法，并估算稳定构型的实际数目。这些估算表明，当 N 接近两百时，至少存在数万个稳定构型。
