描述了 FORS 和 ISAAC 仪器在 VLT ANTU/UT1 上的科学验证结果。已完成以下观测：1）MS1008.1-1224 星团深场 2）Antlia 小矮星系 3）对 AXAF 与 Hubble 深场南的 Lyman 突破星系进行多目标光谱测量 4）对红移为 z=2.72 的引力透镜放大星系进行 ISAAC 红外光谱测量。该数据已向 ESO 社区公开，针对 HDF-S 亦向全球发布。
