0047-2808光学爱因斯坦环的VLT彩色图像

摘要
0047-2808的光学爱因斯坦环由VLT UT1在科学验证计划期间成像。该环是一颗赤度为z=3.595的星形成galaxy的形象，具有5589A的强Ly-alpha发射，被一颗红度为z=0.485的巨型早型星系引力透镜。相对于早期NTT数据，VLT Ly-alpha窄带图像的高信噪比使我们能够对源的表面亮度轮廓和质量施加更严格的约束，测得引子星系的M/L(B)~13h质量-光度比。我们将VLT B波段和Ly-alpha窄带图像与在UKIRT获得的K波段图像相结合，制作了该系统的深层彩色图像。
