离散对称性在粒子物理中扮演着重要角色,CP破坏与宇宙中的物质-反物质不对称性相关。我们报告了利用正电子素衰变光子偏振方法对正-电子素衰变中P、T和CP不变性进行的最精确检验。正电子素是电子与正电子的最简单束缚态,最近因测得的超精细能量结构与理论在10水平上存在差异而备受关注,这表明需要在此水平上更好地理解正电子素系统。我们使用专用的J-PET断层扫描仪,通过康普顿散射逐事件确定光子偏振,且无需像先前实验那样用外部磁场控制正电子素的自旋,来检验离散对称性。我们的结果在0.0007和一个标准偏差的水平上与量子电动力学(QED)预期一致。
