坍缩星起源最短伽马射线暴的发现与确认

摘要

伽马射线暴(GRBs)是宇宙中最明亮和能量最高的事件之一。GRB 的持续时间与硬度分布有两个簇,现在已知反映(至少)两种不同的前身星。短硬 GRB(SGRBs;T90 < 2 s)来自致密双星并合,而长软 GRB(LGRBs;T90 > 2 s)归因于特殊大质量恒星(坍缩星)的坍缩。SN 1998bw/GRB 980425 的发现标志着 LGRB 与坍缩星的首次关联,而 AT 2017gfo/GRB 170817A/GW170817 标志着 SGRB 与双中子星并合的首次关联,同时也产生了引力波(GW)。在此,我们提出 ZTF20abwysqy(AT2020scz)的发现,这是一个在 Fermi 卫星和行星际网络(IPN)对 GRB 200826A 的定位区域内的快速 fading 光学瞬变;X 射线和射电辐射进一步确认这是余辉。后续成像(静止系 16.5 天)揭示出余辉之上的超出辐射,无法用潜在的千新星(KN)解释,但与超新星(SN)一致。尽管 GRB 持续时间短(静止系 T90 为 0.65 s),我们的全色后续数据确认了坍缩星起源。GRB 200826A 是已发现具有关联坍缩星的最短 LGRB;它似乎处于成功与失败坍缩星的边缘。我们的发现与大多数坍缩星未能产生超相对论性喷流的假设一致。
