158 AGeV Pb+Pb碰撞中的直接光子产生

在CERN WA98实验中，对158 AGeV Pb+Pb碰撞中的直接光子产生进行了测量。提取了中心碰撞中直接光子的不变产额，作为横动量在0.5 < pT < 4 GeV/c区间内的函数。与统计和系统误差相比，在pT > 1.5 GeV/c处观察到显著的直接光子信号。这些结果构成了超相对论重离子碰撞中直接光子的首次观测，可能对夸克胶子等离子体形成的诊断具有重要意义。
