描述了介质电阻板室(DRPC)的工作原理、结构及首次测试结果。该探测器在宽范围的工作电压下,在气体放大的雪崩模式下表现出稳定的运行。双间隙DRPC展示了97%的最小电离粒子探测效率和180-200 ps的时间分辨率。在测试束流强度高达10^3 Hz/cm^2时,未观察到DRPC运行的变化。
