CUBES A阶段设计概述——用于甚大望远镜的卡塞格林U波段高效光谱仪

摘要
我们呈现用于甚大望远镜的卡塞格林U波段高效光谱仪(CUBES)的基线概念设计。CUBES将在地面紫外(UV)波段为8–10米级望远镜提供前所未有的光谱观测灵敏度,其带宽大于100 nm,起始于300 nm——地面可观测的最短波长。该设计针对端到端效率进行了优化,并提供R > 20000的光谱分辨本领,将开启太阳系、银河系与河外天文学中广泛的新课题。设计还具备第二个较低分辨率(R \sim 7000)模式,并可选择通过光纤链路连接UVES仪器以实现长波 simultaneous 观测。本文呈现项目A阶段研究后仪器各子系统的光学、机械与软件设计。我们讨论布局选择预期的性能,并强调为最佳满足仪器顶层需求所考虑的一些性能权衡。我们还介绍了基于模型的系统工程中用于组织管理项目活动与接口的方法,鉴于在复杂天文项目开发中日益需要集成此类工具。
