我们报道了碘酸-亚砷酸化学反应前端由对流驱动的指进不稳定性的实验观测。前端在垂直板中向上传播;改变板厚以控制不稳定程度。我们观测到指进的起始及随后的非线性演化,其通过 {\it p}H 指示剂显影。我们测量了指进初始阶段的间距,并与 Huang {\it et. al.} [{\it Phys. Rev. E}, {\bf 48}, 4378 (1993), and unpublished] 稳定性分析所预测增长最快线性模的波长进行比较。我们发现其与理论预测的厚度依赖一致。
