我们（Riedel 等人，Nature 2015）以及其他研究者已经表明，某些酶在活跃时会表现出增强的扩散。在近期的一篇 PRL 论文（Golestanian, PRL 2015, arXiv:1508.03219）中，R. Golestanian 从理论上检验了对此现象的若干可能解释，并得出结论认为“集体加热”是解释所观测到的扩散系数增加的最佳候选机制。在此，我们提出证据表明集体加热不可能适用于我们的实验。
