Chandra X 射线观测新发现的 z ~ 1 星系簇

对中等红移范围(至 z ~ 1)星系簇演化的观测研究是约束宇宙参数的强有力工具,但迄今为止缺乏对这些星系簇属性的全面了解。利用高效的光学选取技术,Red-Sequence Cluster Survey(RCS)已发现大量高红移星系簇候选对象。本样本中全部六个经 Chandra X-Ray Observatory 观测的星系簇均在 X 射线中被检测到。这些 Chandra 跟踪观测(0.64 < z < 1.0)表明,星系簇在系统性上不如同等丰度、低红移 X 射线选取星系簇那么亮,但与标准 Lx-Tx 关系一致。与 X 射线选取样本比较,暗示差异可能部分源于 X 射线辐射气体的空间结构差异。我们呈现来自 Chandra 跟踪观测六个 RCS 星系簇的初始结果,包括 beta 模型参数及光谱信息。
