基于多模干涉仪、面向 840 nm 工作的宽带低损耗超低串扰波导交叉

摘要

宽带低损耗且超低串扰的波导交叉是光子集成电路的关键组件,可实现功能组件更高的集成密度以及版图布局更大的灵活性。我们报道了基于多模干涉仪结构的优化氮化硅波导交叉的设计,用于 790 nm 至 890 nm 近红外波长区域内 TE/TE-like、TM/TM-like 及 TE/TM-like 偏振光的交叉光路。该面向多种偏振模式的交叉设计可在单芯片上实现双偏振工作。所有配置下,单个交叉在 840 nm 处的损耗测得为 0.05 dB。在 100 nm 带宽内损耗低于 0.16 dB。通过三维时域有限差分仿真,串扰估计在 -60 dB 量级。
