Blockspin Scheme and Cluster Algorithm for Quantum Spin Systems

We present a numerical study using a cluster algorithm for the 1-d quantum Heisenberg models. The dynamical critical exponent for anti-ferromagnetic chains is such that critical slowing down is eliminated.
