摘要
1891年，康托给出了两个证明，旨在建立一个一般定理，即任何集合都可以被一个具有更大势的集合所取代。康托的幂集定理可被视为康托1891年第二个证明的推广，其论证用到了一个著名的自指陈述。本文表明，通过定义该自指陈述的相对补集，康托的幂集定理无法被推导出来。此外，本文给出了对第一个证明——即所谓的康托对角线论证——的反驳。
