摘要

我们引入了背景无关量子场论的概念。该理论的显著特征是动力学可以在不借助背景度规结构的情况下表述。我们在一个简单模型中展示了如何从动力学中恢复时空的度规性质。背景无关性不仅在概念上是可取的，而且允许解决困扰普通量子场论的一个问题：宇宙学常数问题。
