临界维数下有效作用的背景无关性

摘要
近来，通过在 、、 阶的显式计算，人们观察到弦理论在临界维数下对闭时空流形的有效作用与背景无关。本文中我们推测，对于开时空流形，有效作用甚至与边界的特征无关，即类时与类空边界的边界耦合相同。我们通过计算玻色弦理论在 阶对类空边界的边界耦合来支持这一提议，并表明它们与近期发现的类时边界耦合相同。
