已对Kroemer模型中针对圆形几何（Corbino盘）的Gunn效应进行数值求解，并通过渐近计算对结果进行解释。在某一临界直流电压偏置之后，内圆阴极会周期性地释放出轴对称的电场脉冲。这些脉冲随着向外阳极的移动而衰减，可能无法到达阳极。随着脉冲的推进，外部电流持续增加，直至产生新的脉冲。随后电流骤然下降，与现有实验结果一致。 Depending on the bias, more complex patterns with multiple pulse shedding are possible.
