Astro2020科学白皮书:2020年代利用星震学研究的恒星物理与银河系考古学

摘要

星震学是天文学中唯一能够探测恒星内部的观测工具,也是推导恒星与系外行星基本属性的基准方法。在未来十年,天基与地基观测将使类太阳振荡器数量增加数个量级,同时经典脉动星观测的数量与质量也将显著提升,为研究恒星物理与银河系恒星族提供前所未有的可能。在本白皮书中,我们描述了关键科学问题以及将星震学革命持续推进至2020年代所需的设施。
