摘要
恒星的演化由其内部的物理过程驱动,使得恒星结构与演化理论不仅是恒星演化研究,也是任何依赖恒星演化产出的天文学领域最关键的要素。近期空间任务采集的高精度时序列测光数据揭示,当前的恒星结构与演化模型即便在两个最早的核燃烧阶段就已显现重大缺陷,影响了形成临终遗迹之前的所有后续阶段。本白皮书聚焦于具有对流核的恒星在其恒星结构与演化模型中的化学元素与角动量输运,这由其重力模振荡所揭示。
