摘要
我们报告了一种新型诊断技术的结果,该技术用于探测被捕获反质子云的外部径向分布。该诊断技术通过监测反质子约束区域中八极场增加时发生的反质子损失的时间历史来确定分布 profile。我们展示了几个实例,说明该诊断技术如何帮助我们理解正常和嵌套 Penning-Malmberg 阱中反质子的径向动力学。对这些动力学的更好理解可能有助于当前捕获反氢原子的尝试。
