潘宁阱中反质子的三维湮灭成像

摘要
我们展示了潘宁阱中捕获的反质子的三维湮灭成像。利用反粒子的不寻常特性,我们研究了粒子输运中一个先前未探索的区域:阱壁附近。观察到粒子在壁上的损失(径向输运的最后一步)在径向和方位角上都是高度非均匀的。这些观测对反氢原子的产生和探测具有重要影响。
