位于狮子座局部星系群附近的新星系 KKR~25

摘要
我们展示了对局部星系群狮子座地区低表面亮度的小型仿星系 KKR~25 的哈勃空间望远镜 WFPC2 图像以及地面观测数据。其颜色-星等图显示红巨星分支星的 tip 位于 I = 22.32 mag，同时存在一些蓝色星星。推导出的真实距离模数为 26.35 \pm 0.14 mag，对应 KKRS25 从银河系和局部星系群中心分别为 1.86 和 1.79 Mpc 的线性距离。该星系的绝对星等 M_V = -10.48，其线性直径（0.54 Kpc）和中心表面亮度（24.0 \pm 0.2 mag\arcsec^2）均属于局部星系群中其他 dIrr/dSph 星系的典型特征。鉴于其位于局部星系群零速度面半径之外，KKR25 以 V_{LG} = +72 km/s 的速度远离 LG 中心运动。
