凌星系外行星的光谱学可用于研究其大气性质和宜居性。结合视向速度(RV)与凌星数据可提供关于系外行星物理性质的额外信息。我们探测到一颗轨道周期1.467天的凌星岩质行星,围绕邻近红矮星Gliese 486运行。根据RV数据和测光光变曲线确定,行星Gliese 486 b的质量为2.81地球质量、半径为1.31地球半径,不确定度为5%。宿主星距离约8.1秒差距,J波段星等约7.2,从地球两半球均可观测。基于这些性质以及该行星较短的轨道周期和较高的平衡温度,我们表明这颗类地行星适合进行发射光谱与凌星光谱研究。
