拟用于切伦科夫望远镜阵列的中等尺寸Schwarzschild-Couder切伦科夫望远镜机械设计

摘要

切伦科夫望远镜阵列(Cherenkov Telescope Array, CTA)是一个国际下一代地基伽马射线天文台。CTA将被实现为南北半球阵列,由数十台小、中、大尺寸成像切伦科夫望远镜组成,目标是将灵敏度较当代实验提高一个数量级。CTA将提供从约20 GeV到超过300 TeV的能量覆盖。Schwarzschild-Couder (SC)中等尺寸(9.5m)望远镜将采用新颖的消球差双镜光学设计,能够容纳宽视场,且相比传统的Davies-Cotton光学设计角分辨率显著改善。一台全尺寸原型SC中等尺寸望远镜结构已被设计出来,将于2015年秋季在亚利桑那州南部的Fred Lawrence Whipple天文台建造。重点集中于该设计的新型特征。
