用于CRESST暗物质搜索的冷却散热器的似然框架

摘要

冷却散热器是用于罕见事件搜索的超灵敏粒子探测器,特别适用于暗物质搜索和测量中微子性质。这些探测器由产生两种信号的散热靶晶体构成。声子(热)信号独立于相互作用粒子类型精确测量沉积能量。散射光信号可对事件进行基于粒子类型的逐事件判别。本文提出了用于建模背景和潜在暗物质信号的似然框架,该框架在声子能量和散射光能量构成的二维平面上进行建模。我们将该框架应用于基于CaWO4_4的探测器数据,这些探测器在CRESST暗物质搜索中运行。首次使用单一似然框架在CRESST中对数据进行建模,并通过使用概似比检验一步提取暗物质结果。我们的框架同时拟合(中子)校准数据和物理(背景)数据,允许来自多个探测器的数据组合。虽然该框架针对CaWO4_4靶和CRESST实验,但可以轻易扩展到其他材料和使用散热器的其他实验,用于暗物质搜索和中微子物理。
