摘要
PICOSEC Micromegas精密定时探测器基于切伦科夫辐射体与半透明光阴极及Micromegas放大结构耦合。首个概念验证单通道小面积原型实现了低于25 ps的时间分辨率。适用于高能物理实验的精密定时气体探测器开发中的关键方面之一是实现大面积覆盖的模块化设计。首个约10 cm有效面积的19通道多垫原型因预放大间隙不均匀而时间分辨率退化。我们开发了基于刚性混合陶瓷/FR4 Micromegas板以改善漂移间隙均匀性的新100 cm、100通道探测器模块。使用80 GeV/c缪子的初始测量显示所测垫片的时间响应改善且时间分辨率低于25 ps。使用更薄漂移间隙探测器模块与新研RF脉冲放大器的近期测量表明分辨率可提升至17~ps水平。本工作将呈现该探测器从结构仿真、设计到束流测试调试的发展,重点聚焦更薄漂移间隙探测器模块结合新电子学采用自动定时扫描方法的时间性能。
