BISTRO 对 $\rho$ Oph-A 核的首次观测

作为我们正在进行的巡天项目 BISTRO(星形成区磁场,B-fields In STar forming RegiOns)的一部分,我们呈现了使用亚毫米波通用用户波束阵列-2 (SCUBA-2) 及其偏振计 (POL-2) 对 ρ\rho Oph-A 核拍摄的 850 μ\mum 成像偏振数据。偏振矢量用于以 0.01 pc 分辨率识别投影在天面上的磁场方向。我们在 0.2 pc 的 ρ\rho Oph A 核中识别出 10 个具有 distinct 偏振分数与角度的子区域;其中一些可属于 ρ\rho Oph 区中一个相干的磁场结构。结果与先前对 ρ\rho Oph-A 最亮区域的观测一致,其偏振度处于百分之几的水平,但我们的数据首次揭示了核周围较暗区域的磁场结构,那里偏振度要高得多(>5%> 5 \%). 与先前近红外偏振数据的比较显示,存在若干在近红外与亚毫米波长上一致的磁场分量。利用 Davis-Chandrasekhar-Fermi 方法,我们还推导了若干子核区域的磁场强度,范围约为 0.2 至 5 mG。我们还发现投影在天面上的磁场方向与核质心速度分量之间存在相关性。
