众所周知，选择公理与正则性公理彼此独立，但具有重要的逻辑性质的共同推论（如反射原理、类由集合表示等）。我们通过隔离它们的“交集”——一个称为“最佳良基性”（Best-Foundedness）的原则——来解释这一现象，该原则与这两个公理的否定均相容，但蕴含了所有这些推论。随后，我们详细研究了这些推论（及邻近原则）之间的关系。最后，我们考虑了一些关于集合论中各种原则真实性的论证，特别是关于解释力强度的论证。
