Hubble 深场区域的 WSRT 观测

我们报告了对 Hubble 深场区域进行的深度 WSRT 1.4 GHz 观测。以 5σ 水平，WSRT 清晰检测到以 HDF 中心为 10'×10' 区域内 85 个射电信号源。其中 8 个位于 HDF 内部，4 个此前在 1.4 GHz 处未被检测到，尽管其中 2 个在 8.5 GHz 处已被 VLA 检测到。WSRT 检测到的 2 个新射电源与相对明亮(I<21m)的中等红移螺旋和不规则型星系相匹配。在整个观测场中，WSRT 检测到 22 个此前 VLA 在 1.4 GHz 处未检测到的射电信号源，其中至少 2 个与 nearby 伸展星系形成星际气体相关联。
