WSClean:一种快速、通用的射电天文宽场成像器实现

干涉射电数据的天文宽场成像计算成本高昂,尤其是对于现代非共面多单元阵列产生的大数据量。我们提出了一种新的宽场干涉成像器,它使用w-stacking算法,并可以利用w-snapshot算法。分析了CASA的w-projection和我们新成像器的性能依赖关系,推导出描述两种成像器所需计算成本的解析函数。在Murchison宽场阵列的数据上,我们发现新方法比w-projection快一个数量级,并且能够以全分辨率进行全天成像,并具有正确的偏振校正。我们预测了其他几个阵列的计算成本,并估计我们的成像器根据阵列配置快2-12倍。我们估计使用当前技术对低频平方千米阵列观测进行成像的计算成本为60 PetaFLOPS。我们发现将w-stacking与w-snapshot算法结合并不能显著改善纯w-stacking的计算需求。我们新成像器的源代码已公开发布。
