WISE/NEOWISE对主带活跃天体的观测

我们报告了基于广域红外巡天探测器(WISE)航天器探测到的5个主带活跃天体(AMBOs)的中红外测光结果。其中四个天体,即P/2010 R2 (La Sagra)、133P/Elst-Pizarro、(596) Scheila和176P/LINEAR,在观测时未显示出活动迹象,使得WISE的探测能够对其直径和反照率施加严格约束。几何反照率范围在百分之几,与其他测量的彗核相当。P/2010 A2于2010年4月2-3日被观测,即其活动峰值后三个月。12和22 {\mu}m处的彗发测光与地基可见光波段测量相结合,提供了对尘埃粒子质量分布(PMD),dlogn/dlogm的约束,得出幂律斜率值为{\alpha} = -0.5 +/- 0.1。该PMD明显比其他彗星(特别是Stardust任务在81P/Wild 2彗星遭遇期间发现的入射粒子通量)更平缓。它与Deep Impact实验后9P/Tempel 1观测到的PMD相似。还给出了每个AMBO的CO2和CO产生量的上限,并与103P/Hartley 2的WISE观测修订后的产生量进行了比较。
