喷流将识别 Type Ia 超新星的祖先吗？

摘要
我们利用 Type Ia 超新星恰好在活跃星系 3C 78 的喷流附近被发现这一事实，来检讨喷流是否可以增强白矢星上的吸积。喷流诱导的吸积过程的一个有趣结果是喷流附近 nova 率的增强。我们展示了对 M87 喷流的观测结果，似乎确实发现了 11 颗位于喷流附近的 nova。我们指出，若喷流与 nova 以及 Type Ia 超新星之间的关系得到确认，最终将识别 Type Ia 超新星的难以捕获的祖先。
