在导致Ia型超新星(SNe Ia)的多种前身星通道中,存在源自亚钱德拉塞卡质量白矮星的爆发。这些白矮星经历由吸积自伴星的氦壳层中的初次爆轰所触发的爆轰与爆炸。双爆轰模型预言了前身星系统年龄与近峰值亮度之间的相关性:爆发的前身星越年轻,超新星越亮。在本文中,我们展示了近期在宿主星系盘内不同位置研究SNe Ia性质以及估计其前身星族年龄方面的成果。观测上,我们确认了所预期的超新星测光与其前身星年龄之间相关性的有效性。
