商业周期中的失业与内生性职业再配置

摘要
本文研究职业流动性的周期性在多大程度上塑造了总失业及其持续时间分布的周期性。我们记录了工人职业流动性与失业持续时间在长期和商业周期上的关系。为解释该证据，我们发展了一个具有异质性主体的多部门商业周期模型。该模型在数量上与美国劳动力市场的若干重要特征一致：顺周期总职业流动性与逆周期净职业流动性、失业的大幅波动以及失业持续时间分布的周期性特征等。我们的分析表明，由工人改变职业前景（而非职业整体差异）引起的职业流动性，与总经济条件相互作用，驱动了失业持续时间分布与总失业率的波动。
