理解莱曼α发射体

摘要
本出版物包含了2008年10月6日至10日在海德堡马克斯·普朗克天文研究所举行的“理解莱曼α发射体”会议的会议总结。会议的目的是汇集大多数从事莱曼α发射体领域研究的科学家，无论是低红移还是高红移，无论是观测方面还是理论方面，并总结具有莱曼α发射的星系研究领域所取得的进展。同时也期望对该领域的未来进行展望。作为会议的一部分，两天时间专门用于总共六场讨论会。主题包括：i) 新方法和选择方法，ii) 形态学，iii) 本地宇宙观测能告诉我们关于高红移宇宙的什么？，iv) 成团性，v) 光谱能量分布（SED）拟合，以及 vi) 莱曼α斑点。这些讨论会的主席被要求总结讨论内容，如本会议录所述。
