质子-质子碰撞中的双π产生——实验总截面及其同位旋分解

摘要

在CELSIUS上,通过从阈值到TpT_p = 1.36 GeV的独占测量,研究了pp碰撞中的双π产生。获得了pnπ+π0pn\pi^+\pi^0ppπ+πpp\pi^+\pi^-ppπ0π0pp\pi^0\pi^0以及nnπ+π+nn\pi^+\pi^+道的总截面和微分截面。对于中间入射能量Tp>T_p > 1 GeV,即超出罗珀激发但在ΔΔ\Delta\Delta激发起始的区域,ppπ0π0pp\pi^0\pi^0总截面在1.2 GeV附近比理论预测低了一个数量级,而nnπ+π+nn\pi^+\pi^+截面则比预测大了五倍。总截面的同位旋分解在罗珀激发区域显示出类似s道的能量依赖性,以及除Δ(1232)\Delta(1232)之外的同位旋3/2共振的显著贡献。讨论了Δ(1600)\Delta(1600)Δ(1700)\Delta(1700)作为可能的候选者。
