摘要
TORCH 是一种飞行时间探测器,正为 LHCb 实验的 Upgrade II 开发,旨在为 2-10 GeV/c 动量范围内的带电粒子提供鉴别。一个带有定制读出电子学的小尺度 TORCH 演示器已在 CERN PS 的束流测试中成功运行。初步结果表明,可以实现优于 100 ps 的单光子时间分辨率。
