YbAlO$_3$中的Tomonaga-Luttinger液体行为与自旋子禁闭

低维量子磁体因强量子涨落产生的集体行为而引人关注。一维(1D)S = 1/2海森堡反铁磁体是典型例子,其低能激发称为自旋子,携带分数自旋S = 1/2。这些分数模可通过施加交错磁场重新禁闭。尽管对此类磁体的理论理解已取得可观进展,此类低维物理的实验实现仍相对稀少,对于稀土基磁体尤其如此,因为强自旋轨道耦合与晶体场劈裂共同诱导了巨大的有效自旋各向异性。本文中,我们证明稀土钙钛矿YbAlO实现了一种量子自旋S = 1/2链材料,在磁场-温度相图的不同区域展现出量子临界Tomonaga-Luttinger液体行为以及自旋子禁闭-去禁闭转变。
