TOI-4438 b:一颗适合大气表征的凌星迷你海王星

摘要
我们报告了一颗迷你海王星的确认和质量测定,它每7.44天凌星M3.5 V型星TOI-4438(G 182-34)。利用NASA的TESS空间任务在第40、52和53扇区探测到了一个凌星信号。为了验证行星TOI-4438 b并确定系统属性,我们将TESS数据与来自CARMENES光谱仪的高精度径向速度测量(跨度近一年)以及地面凌星光度测量相结合。我们发现TOI-4438 b的半径为Rb = 2.52 +/- 0.13 R_Earth(5%精度),质量为Mb=5.4 +/- 1.1 M_Earth(20%精度),由此得到的体密度为rho = 1.85+0.51-0.44 g cm-3(28%精度),这与一颗富含挥发物的行星相符。我们的内部结构反演采用纯水包层,得到的最小水质量分数为46%(1-sigma)。TOI-4438 b是一颗富含挥发物的迷你海王星,可能含有H/He与分子(如水、CO和CH)的混合物。主星的J波段星等为9.7,该行星的透射光谱度量(TSM)较高,为136 +/- 13。考虑到相对温暖的平衡温度T_eq = 435 +/- 15 K,以及其宿主星的低活动水平,TOI-4438 b是M矮星周围最有望进行透射光谱研究的迷你海王星之一。
