PALFA巡天发现的35颗遥远脉冲星的计时与星际散射

摘要

我们已对在正在进行的阿雷西博PALFA脉冲星巡天中发现的35颗遥远慢速(非再循环)脉冲星进行了广泛观测。在阿雷西博天文台和乔德雷尔银行天文台对这些脉冲星进行了数年的计时观测,获得了高精度的位置和自转特性测量。尽管这些脉冲星相对遥远,但其特性与先前已知的脉冲星群体相似。许多源表现出计时噪声,其中一颗经历了小幅度自转突变。我们利用多频数据测量了这些脉冲星的星际散射特性。我们发现沿某些视线方向(特别是在天鹅座区域)的散射高于预测。最后,我们介绍了对其中最年轻、能量最高的脉冲星J1856+0245的XMM-Newton和Chandra观测结果,该脉冲星此前已与GeV-TeV脉冲星风云HESS J1857+026相关联。
