旋转氦纳米液滴的三维形状

摘要
在自由射流膨胀中产生的超流氦纳米液滴有显著一部分被观测到获得高角动量,导致大的离心形变。我们利用 FERMI 自由电子激光的强极紫外光脉冲,测量了单个旋转氦纳米液滴直至大散射角的单发衍射图样。广角衍射图样中独特的非对称特征使得能够唯一且系统地辨识三维液滴形状。对大数据集的分析使我们能够追踪从轴对称扁球到三轴长球及双叶状液滴的演化。我们发现旋转超流氦液滴展现的阶段与经典旋转液滴相同,而先前报道的量子液滴亚稳态扁球形状未被观测到。我们的三维分析代表了澄清纳米尺度形态与超流性之间相互关系的有价值里程碑。
