NGC5252 中电离锥的 X 射线视角

摘要
我们报告了对邻近 Seyfert 2 型星系 NGC 5252 中壮观电离锥的 Chandra 软 X 射线观测结果。如在被遮蔽的 AGN 中几乎普遍观察到的那样，软 X 射线辐射在形态上与 HST O[III] 图像所示踪的电离气体表现出显著的一致性。能量分辨图像和高分辨率光谱学表明，X 射线发射气体至少在最内层气体和恒星环（<3 kpc）的尺度上受到 AGN 的光电离。假设整个锥体都受到 AGN 的光电离，我们重建了最近 100000 年内活动星系核的历史。
