Seyfert 2 星系 NGC4388 周围的 X 射线星云

我们报告了使用 Chandra X射线望远镜观测得的 Seyfert 2 星系 NGC4388 的 X射线辐射。发现硬 X射线峰位于活跃核位置，与光学和射电观测一致。扩展软 X射线辐射与光学线辐射中的电离锥良好相关。在星系北侧发现大范围软 X射线扩展，直达 16 kpc。低电离参数(xi<3)的光子激发气体可能是解释此辐射的主要机制。相同的电离气体云可能负责产生光学 [OIII] 辐射。来自冷物质的 Fe K 线辐射被发现延伸数 kpc。
