0735+178 盘旋的秒尺度结构

摘要
我们对 BL Lac 对象 0735+178 进行了两时相的极化图像观测，使用 Very Long Baseline Array（VLBA）于 22 和 43 GHz。这些图像是该源迄今为止最高分辨率的观测结果，显示出在核心附近两毫弧秒范围内的盘旋喷流，包含两个 90 度的锐利明显弯曲。磁场似乎平滑地沿着喷流的一个弯曲方向延伸，这表明该结构可能是由 0735+178 喷流的喉部预旋引起。关于盘旋几何是由运动的喷流节点沿弹道运动还是沿喷流轴向移动尚无定论。
