摘要

本文回溯了从1977年符号" $\nu_{\tau}$ "出现开始,到2000年观测到tau中微子与物质的相互作用为止共24年的历程。tau衰变中存在的中性粒子为中微子这一事实于1979年得到证明;其作为第三类中微子 $\nu_{\tau}$ (tau轻子的同位旋伙伴)的存在性在1981-1986年间被确证;1989年证明轻活性中微子数目由已知的中微子( $\nu_e, \nu_{\mu},\nu_{\tau}$ )封闭;2000年之前, $\nu_{\tau}$ 的性质已在 $e^+e^-$ 与 $p\bar{p}$ 对撞机实验中得到精确测定。
