摘要

2021年5月,暗能量光谱仪(Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument, DESI)开始了为期5年、约5000万河外与银河系总目标的巡天。DESI主要暗时间目标为发射线星系(ELGs)、亮红星系(LRGs)与类星体(QSOs)。在亮时间,DESI将聚焦于称为亮星系巡天(BGS)与银河系巡天(MWS)的两项巡天。DESI还观测用于定制科学目标的一批“次要”目标。本文概述用于处理DESI观测目标的公开流水线(desitarget)。要点包括不同DESI巡天定靶阶段、用于定义唯一目标的目标ID(TARGETID)、指示特定目标类型的位掩码、DESI定靶文件的数据模型与结构,以及访问使用desitarget代码库的示例。本文还将描述“辅助”DESI目标类,如标准星、天空位置以及模拟DESI目标角选择函数的随机星表。DESI目标选择流水线复杂且庞大;本文试图总结理解并处理DESI定靶数据所需的最关键信息。
