储存环质子电偶极矩实验

摘要

我们描述了一项基于储存质子束极化的垂直旋转来搜寻质子内禀电偶极矩(EDM)的提案,灵敏度为 \targetsens。其对新物理的探测能力对应约 10 310^~3TeV 的质量尺度。质子 EDM 的观测提供了对希格斯 sector 中 CP 破坏的最佳探测,其灵敏度水平可能是电子 EDM 实验无法达到的。对轴子及轴子暗物质物理中关键参数 θQCD\theta_{QCD} 的灵敏度改进约为三个数量级。
