摘要
STAR时间投影室(TPC)用于记录相对论重离子对撞机(RHIC)的碰撞。TPC是围绕相互作用顶点的一组探测器中的核心元件。TPC提供围绕束线的完整覆盖,并对质心系赝快度±1.8单位内的带电粒子提供完整径迹。记录动量大于100 MeV/c的带电粒子。在软件中常规重建每事件超过3,000条径迹的多重数。TPC直径为4米,长4.2米,是世界上最大的TPC。
